Dorothea joined the NC Office of Rural Health Team in September 2019 and directs the Rural Health Operations Program which includes serving as a leader to develop and sustain primary and preventive health services in rural underserved areas. A NC native, receiving a BS degree from East Carolina University and MPH from University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. A career public health professional with experience in diverse health care environments. A passionate advocate about increasing access to quality healthcare for vulnerable populations. Prior to NCORH, served as a Health Systems Manager for a large non-profits supporting clinical quality improvement and community/clinical partnerships.
