Kayleen Pafford joined the Florida Department of Health as the Director for the Office of Rural Health in February 2026. Her professional background spans healthcare systems, community engagement, and strategic program development, with a strong focus on improving access, outcomes, and infrastructure for rural populations. With currently living in a rural community and previously serving in it, her passion for rural health is rooted in lived experience. Through her work and community involvement, Mrs. Pafford has witnessed firsthand the critical importance of accessible, resilient healthcare systems in rural areas. Mrs. Pafford’s dedication to rural health is informed by direct experience and a longstanding commitment to strengthening rural healthcare systems.
