Bio

Heather Land is a certified Health Education Specialist and serves as the Program Manager for the State Office of Rural Health (SORH) and the Primary Care Office (PCO) grant. With more than a decade of experience in education—including teaching in cosmetology programs and working as a public health educator—Heather brings a unique blend of instructional expertise, community engagement, and health promotion to her role. Heather earned her B.S. in Health Education and Promotion, where she developed a strong foundation in health behavior, program planning, and community outreach. She is a highly motivated professional who is deeply passionate about education and its power to transform communities. Known as a natural problem solver, she consistently seeks innovative approaches to strengthen programs, support colleagues, and advance rural health initiatives across Arkansas. In her current role, Heather coordinates statewide efforts to expand access to care, support rural providers, and enhance primary care capacity. She is committed to continuous growth and is currently pursuing a graduate degree to further expand her expertise and impact. Driven, mission focused, and dedicated to lifelong learning, Heather Land is a valued leader whose work continues to elevate rural health and empower the communities she serves.
